Several days ago, I had the honor, albeit indirectly, to participate in a significant event, the meeting of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zoran Milanović, who received representatives of five engineering chambers – the Croatian Chamber of Architects, the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers, the Croatian Chamber of Chartered Geodetic Engineers, the Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers – on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their activities.

On that occasion, he was presented with my work titled “Chamber” as a Certificate of Appreciation for his long-standing support for the work and activities of professional chambers, the trust and cooperation shown, and the sponsorship of chamber events, which are of exceptional importance for the engineering profession in construction.

The form of the Chamber ‘thank you note’ is a three-dimensional stainless steel cube, which symbolically represents the two-dimensional common original logo of all chambers. The object is made from a piece of welded stainless steel sheet, high gloss lacquered, with engraved initials of all five chambers. One initial letter is engraved for each of the five visible sides of the cube. The hidden part is the lower part, as is the case on the sign, a red surface with an engraved meaning of the ‘thank you note’.

A piece of work that is not meant to be stored in a drawer, both literally and purposefully. It stands for unity and independence in one and represents a “six-dimensional perspective”.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Chambers for the trust they have shown me.
