UPS! DRAFT dresser is the first in the DRAFT series to be produced, which is in the phase of realization in collaboration with contractor EMI23, Ivica Lipovac.
UPS! The DRAFT dresser is the first in a DRAFT series based on the concept of the drawing and optical illusion. The dresser explores simplicity and functionality. Angles are contradicted to the established constructive principles and explore stability and functionality. The dresser doesn’t have traditional corpus, the supporting part of the structure is each drawer separately leaning on to the next one. It is made of a white matte compact board with a black core with black edges. The simple dresser with three drawers becomes a form with sloping surfaces in all directions. It uses the principles of optical illusion, where from different angles it looks inclined or parallel. The seemingly dysfunctional drawer bottom is questioning a reason why it should be horizontal. Draft is also a sketch, a sketch of the concept and constructive principles.
